I'm Kelly, a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and owner of Ridge Consulting and Therapy. I'm experienced in motivation and I'm committed to providing both adult men and women of all ages learn how to build healthier relationships with themselves and their bodies.
My therapy approach focuses on targeting the strongly held beliefs and habits that keep you from moving forward emotionally, mentally, physically, and spiritually.
I am a proud Minnesota native and grew up in a small town in Southeastern MN. I currently reside in Central MN. I am a believer in Christ, a wife, and mother of two young children and can appreciate the difficulty in developing a balanced life.
I enjoy all things outdoors including running, fishing, hiking, and taking care of our dog, cat, chickens and bees.
I recognized at a very early age that I would be in a helping profession but did not have a straight and narrow path to where I am today. I've had to overcome my own self doubt and struggles and want to be able to share the knowledge and tools that I've gained, so that you too, can be empowered to live your life to the fullest!
I went to college at St. Cloud State University in MN where I received my Bachelors in Communication Disorders. I did work in school districts K-12 for a short time, but recognized that I was often listening to students discuss their concerns with me and knew it came natural. I am the person that strangers talk to in the grocery check out line!
I studied and received my Master of Science degree at St. Cloud State University in the field of Rehabilitation Counseling. I worked in different capacities as a counselor including bariatrics and weight loss, vocational rehab, community mental health, and private sector.
Owning my own therapy practice has been a goal of mine for over five years, so thank you for taking time out for yourself and showing interest in me.
